Claims Processor (Junior Level)

About the Role:

As a Claims Processor at the Junior Level, you'll play an essential role in the financial operations of the company by ensuring that member health insurance claims are reviewed and entered accurately. This position is a great entry point into the healthcare administration field. We are primarily looking for candidates with a high school diploma and good computer literacy . Training is provided on the job , so you'll learn all the complex details of claims processing from experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review health insurance claims and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy before entry.
• Accurately enter claims data into the claims processing system, adhering strictly to procedural guidelines.
• Identify and flag any discrepancies, missing information, or unusual claim submissions for review by senior processors or adjusters.
• Organize and maintain a queue of assigned claims to ensure timely processing and meet departmental deadlines.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all member data in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in ongoing training sessions to understand updates to coding, benefits, and processing logic.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in data entry with a high degree of speed and accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors in data and documentation.
• Basic understanding of office procedures and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to handle a high volume of work.
• No prior claims processing or healthcare experience is necessary.
